Our Story

Our journey in the restaurant industry began on different continents: Ervis in Italy, Gabriella in South Florida. Ervis began his restaurant career in the kitchens of Central Italy (Umbria); working as a Pizza Maker and Sous Chef, while studying in Perugia, Italy.

We each made our way to New York City in 2013 where we met working at the same Italian Restaurant in Lower East Side. Our family began to grow in 2016: Gabriella focused on Motherhood and art pursuits, while Ervis continued excelling at his craft in Front of House Service. Ervis’ career brought him uptown to Felice 64 with SA Hospitality Group in 2017. Over the next six years, Ervis would manage & oversee multiple locations of the Felice Brand of Restaurants (Felice 64, Felice Columbus & Felice Roslyn). & open the newest Long Island location: Felice Roslyn in 2022.

After almost 15 years of working in the Restaurant Industry, we decided it was time to take our passion for food & hospitality and open our own restaurant: Flora’s Pizza Cafe in Syosset, NY.

Ervis’ knowledge of authentic Italian cuisine has been an integral part of how our menu was built. Each dish & every ingredient has been thoughtfully put together, sourced from the best locally and internationally (Italy).
